“..didn’t I remind you to bring your swimming clothes? No, I didn’t on purpose, now you’re swimming in your WOAH!!”
Brand new Toast for your Monday night/Tuesday morning.
Fresh off the press, North Korean supreme leader/dictator/crazy dude Kim Jong Il has died of a heart attack at age 69. I have absolutely no idea how to feel about this, such was the secrecy of the man, and the country. But I do know that whenever I look at him, all I see is Team America. Which is a good enough reason to play this:
On the real though, special shout outs go to Sydney radio station 2GB for being the first in the world to announce “Kim Jong the second’s” untimely passing. Twitter loved that one.
In case you missed it, Sydney got Shady. Read about it here.
Common has dropped his new album The Dreamer, The Believer, and it seems dope enough. There was a full album stream on youtube before, but it looks like they’ve taken it down already, so that’s that. Stay tuned for a full WUD review in the coming days. Until then, read this.
What’s that? Oh nothing, just the greatest thing to ever be put onto the internet.
Android operating system 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich has been rolling out, and is generally quite exciting from what I hear. I don’t know too much about this, and won’t pretend to, so I’ma just leave that there. It does however take the notion of pointless naming scheme’s to a whole new level.
Qantas and Virgin have both announced they will be trialling in-flight Wi-Fi for domestic flights at some point in the near to mid future. Fairly exciting. I would much prefer power outlets though. Read about this more here.
Some kind of small Hip-Hop festival thing called Heatwave is making its way down here in January. KiD CuDi & Chamillionaire are on the bill, as well as Obie Trice, D12 & Tech N9ne. It’s spread over two days, so I’ll probably only hit up the second night. The best part of that link there is the below quote. It has made my day.
Also on the line-up are rap-rockers Crazy Town. Remember those guys? I heard Butterfly in a club a few weeks ago and I can safely say it was in the top five moments of my life thus far. Don’t even try to pretend that you hate this song.
And in celebration of the news Chamillimilli finally coming down (3 or 4 years too late perhaps, but nonetheless), there’s this:
And remember to tune in Sunday for the special edition Christmas toast!!***
